I just got one Monday: MYP MSM white tow F563 Edd 10.4 to Philadelphia area

My original OD was 11/24/21 but for a long range. I switched to MYP on 9/26 and was assigned a vin 4 hours later along with a EDD.

I am VIN F563 (Philly) and Edd is 10.4-10.11 so your dates check out. It could come by truck or rail. Rail definitely takes longer.

I did on Monday when my EDD on MYLR changed to 10/5. It probably only made a few days difference. I was trying to hold off as long as possible as I have a car through December.

I have a MYP expected to be delivered end of October. I started looking at used model S's, and noticed there are some late 2021s that are refreshed in the $89K-$95K range with anywhere from 10-20K miles on them starting to pop up. I am thinking about jumping to the S, but have some reservations...

Can I just wait until I get my VIN then make the change or am I locked once a VIN hits?

my concern is the opposite. I'll get a VIN immediately, when I won't be ready for another 4-6 weeks.
