FWIW, even my 18” Aero wheels have the machined step. The hub step issue comes into play with aftermarket wheels.

I agree that mix and match is a no go, but the ET40 do indeed have the counter-bore. There is even a photo of a PUP with ET40 all around, no issues, except for the fact that it is too recessed in, visually and for performance (track width) reasons.

Not even close IMO. With a P3D, you have significantly faster acceleration, slightly better braking, and track mode for when you’re at the track. Interior is identical, exterior is identical (for the most part). With an M3, it’s special walking up to it and drooling over the flared fenders...

Fair point. I will say, however, that those Model Y wheels referenced above are likely not forged due to the design. Probably pretty heavy too. Nothing about it screams performance.
