Couldn’t agree more with posts here. Tesla is low on customer service - service centers are swamped and one can’t reach them. Their 800 number for customer service is always busy with long wait times. I’ve never had such issues with other car brands. Elon really needs to fix the service issue...

Very much doubt you’ll get a fair return. My guess is that the $2K you spend will depreciate at the same rate as the car (which is significant).

So, I must be one of the few crazy hold-outs here....I just don't see the value: Active cruise control and self steering (staying in the center of the lane) for $2K. Am I missing something? I thought the car would modulate the speed and control the steering, and follow the Nav directions...

Thanks all for your responses. Tesla confirmed an issue with one of the PCS and replaced it. It’s now charging at 44 miles/hour. So all good.

I don’t have EAP and no, Summon is a standard feature on all M3s. I confirmed this with Tesla Support. Don’t know if it’s a coincidence or whether it’s related, but I lost the feature after the EAP trial ended.

Zoiks - all the best. If you're in NJ I can recommend a great installer. I had mine hardwired and they did a great job. Had to wire it directly to the battery with a relay that ensures the unit only turns on when the car is powered up.

Commish, glad you’re deriving value from this thread. Hope it works out for you. I took the car to the Paramus NJ service center and they were pretty ambivalent about the issue - they suggested I write to Tesla and request a SW fix (that and the tooth fairy will resolve all my issues).

Didn't do it manually. I'm using an Apple Mac and I used disk Utility to check the USB drive - it says the format is MS-DOS (FAT32)
