I believe what you are missing is that it was just an observation and a question to other forum members to see if others have experienced the recent decline in software updates......not a big deal, car works fine just curious what others are experiencing.

I would take it to safelite and see if they can fill the damaged area with epoxy and then just live with it. If they can fill it, it should not "run". You might even try filling it yourself. I fixed a damaged windshield on my son's car windshield using a kit I got on Amazon.

Or install Solar. I did in 2013 and live in the desert of So CA. Keep the house 72* all Summer long without any electricity bill. If you do the cost benefit analysis I think you would be pleasantly surprised....especially in Vegas

Mine, Not totaled. $27,000 repair bill to AAA. Took four months to get the car back. It runs great the repair shop did an excellent job, but.......I can never sell it for what I paid for it, not even close.
