The only thing that runs at a different speed around startup vs. the rest of the drive at the same 25-40mph speeds is the compressor (or at least it is the only thing with enough mass and vibration to be felt within the cabin. aside from driveshafts that is).

That vibration (from the compressor) has occurred all the way back to pre-refresh Model S/X. Upon startup on warmer days the compressor can be felt in the steering wheel and footwell on both my 2015 P85DL and 2019 Raven.

By 'startup vibration' are you referring to the AC compressor? It has a vibration when running at higher speeds during startup. These are usually dampened but they can resonate/amplify the front DU vibration when both are occurring simultaneously.

Now that winter has come around again, it appears that the front AP camera defroster no longer functions when needed (again). Currently on 2020.48.30.

Make them show you the defroster working. If you're on any of the recent updates then it should be working, so if it's not, then it might be a hardware issue.

Plenty of cars without guards have sufficient paint durability to not visibly wear / chip / peel within the typical usable life of the car.

That ticking is likely from the axle splines / lug bolt / hub area (lack of lubrication in the case of splines - Tesla has a habit of missing this step), not the same as the other stuff in this thread.

Yeah, it definitely appears to be account specific, like some promo thing sent to some folks with multiple cars. Any device / app signed into that specific account gets the popup.

The P100DL is putting out significantly more power when its easter egg mode is enabled, which is why that warning is offered. The 85/90 car packs are not capable of putting out the power levels where Tesla deems it risky to the battery/drivetrain.

Yeah, the battery heating / launch mode is very handy for autocross or other events where you need the pack to be warm at the start of a lap. a cold pack is more sluggish, and available power noticeably falls off below ~30C.

You still have to put it into max battery mode, but you shouldn't have to wait for the pack to heat fully before launching.

Launch mode should still work even before the battery has fully heated.
