Rims scratched on inside lip? Normal or service related?

My biggest issue is that they're even having the cars polished in the first place. These are brand new cars. They don't need to be polished (at least mine didn't). It blows my mind.

Rims scratched on inside lip? Normal or service related?

If you don't mind me asking, where did you get your service? My car was also sent somewhere else to be "detailed" and came back with holograms on the hood, a scuffed up steering wheel and worse, these crystal-like specks all throughout the car (I posted about them here: Crystal-like spots under...

    Bay Area service center recommendation?

Sunnyvale is quite friendly and go out of their way to be helpful, but the folks I've been dealing with have been largely incompetent. I'll spare you the details for now, but suffice it to say they turned what should have been a relatively minor fix into a huge issue that's been ongoing for over...

    Problems with Obsidian Black Paint?

Glad to hear it! I'm fairly certain I'm not as lucky...

    Problems with Obsidian Black Paint?

I started reading your post and at first I thought a mod had just re-titled the one I posted earlier today: Crystal-like spots under the surface of the paint. Sounds like we're experiencing very similar issues. My spots look similar to the ones in your first picture, particularly the bigger...

Crystal-like spots under the surface of the paint

Hi all - I recently took my car into service and while it was there, they did a "deluxe detail" that included (unnecessarily) a polish step and application of a polymer sealant. It looked fine when I picked it up, but after a recent wash (just a simple hand wash with water and soap), I noticed...

Appropriate compensation for dust nibs / grittiness in the paint?

Kind of. They don't seem like a big issue to me now because, again, it's pretty much entirely within the door jambs; but want I want to guard against is if in a year, I realize they bother me every time I open the door, that I can feel ok paying out of pocket at that time because I received...

Appropriate compensation for dust nibs / grittiness in the paint?

No, they are literally dozens of them all over the place in those pictures. Any place you see a white dot, there's something under the paint. Maybe I'm using the term "nib" incorrectly?

Appropriate compensation for dust nibs / grittiness in the paint?

Thanks again for all the thoughts and help, all. I picked up my car today and am still undecided about what to do. I'm now leaning towards having them try to address the issue. And for those who asked, here are some pictures of the worst spot. It is very difficult to get a picture that shows...

Appropriate compensation for dust nibs / grittiness in the paint?

That's partially what I'm worried about. That I'm going to get into a cycle of fixes that keep me from just enjoying the car. So I'm tempted to just deal with it and move on.

Appropriate compensation for dust nibs / grittiness in the paint?

Thanks for all the replies and help, folks. I really appreciate it. I just don't have a good sense for what this kind of fix would normally cost and don't want to get screwed over. They did say I could push forward with the fix, but it would just take a while before they could fit me in. I...

Appropriate compensation for dust nibs / grittiness in the paint?

Hi all - Long time lurker, first time poster. Be gentle. I recently dropped off my Model 3 at the local service center to have dust nibs / grittiness in the paint taken care of. They originally thought they could take care them with just a thorough detail, but it turns out they have to take it...
