As UCMNDD mentioned, not really a DIY type of thing. You're supposed to completely evacuate the system and draw a vacuum on it, then re-charge the system.

I'll be interested to see how long they last. My OEM struts weren't having any issue, so hopefully I'll get the same amount of longevity out of these.

Just a side note... If you do have a complete MCU failure it will also not be able to regulate your charging speeds and you'll charge at about 1 KW per day.Normally the only way to charge with a full MCU failure is via supercharging.

My title took around 45 days to come in, and they did issue a second temp tag for me in Florida (I've noticed that Tesla doesn't seem to understand the rules and regulations for most states).

Had mine apart recently and it's the same chip. My MCU has been replaced twice now by Tesla under warranty. Last one was done in December of 2018.

Mine had the roll pin that retained it fall out. When I went in for service to have my screens replaced I asked them if they would take a look at it while they were there, and they fixed it at no charge.

You would have to polish the haze out with a polishing pad. I typically use Meguiar's Ultimate Compound on a white polishing pad (Chemical guys Hex-Logic pad) or microfiber finishing disc. If you wanted to you could also use a razor blade to fully remove the prior coating and start fresh, but...

It was just brought to my attention that the audio at around the 7 minute mark got stupidly loud (when I listed to it before exporting it, it wasn't). So I'll be re-uploading the video when I get home later.

And we are done! Took me around 2-3 hours to do, and I only broke 4 retaining clips. I'd say it's a notable improvement. I have a 2014 P85 with Tech Package, so I believe I had the "high-res" back up camera previously, but will say that this was worth it.

I actually planned to do that this weekend when I go to install mine. =)

Haha, that sounds about right. I got Ixion at the 5 week mark (way too early, but he did fine fortunately) and he is the most passive and docile pup I've ever had. The shedding is absolutely insane. If it wasn't for the roomba I'd have to vacuum every day to keep up with him. lol

He's half GSD, half Husky. Yours is absolutely beautiful.

Also, for those of us who don't have seat protectors, here's a great way to remove all of the hair that our furry friends leave for us. =) I definitely keep mine underneath the MCU, super handy to have.
