I think if you eliminate the orders that are part of multiple reservations placed by people just to "squat" certain spots, the eventual take rate will be significantly higher than 40%

Begs the question tho if fleet and commercial buyers is a demographic Musk is interested in selling this too?

They way he's talked about the truck, I doubt we'll be let down. We have a much better chance of being nicely surprised IMO.

He's a businessman yea but seems to actually care about advancing the auto industry towards a cleaner future so open sourcing some of its technologies is good for the world, even if not necessarily for business.

Interesting they went with a physical center knob on screen. Will be interesting to see if that actually adds much functionality or just something to differentiate it from a Tesla.

I doubt it. Airless tires are still very much developmental. This is meant to be a production vehicle sold to the masses still.

Because doing things conventionally wouldn't have gotten Tesla to where it is today. And doing things too conventionally / conservatively is why the legacy manufacturers have all been caught without competitive (to Tesla) EVs for years. Also, the Cybertruck doesn't need to be a high volume...
