    That's what I told USAA, and the rear badge is just 85. Apparently Tesla screwed up submitting the VIN to the IIHS database, which USAA can't override no matter what proof I give them. Any idea who I need to yell at, and how to reach them? The "contact us" page is completely useless.

    The one photo I have of the hatch has a glare on the right side, so it's obscured. The MCU just shows 85, not P85. The driver's door handle is broken (supposedly being addressed by the dealer, along with a dying 12V, before I move ahead with the deal) so I haven't verified the jamb sticker.

    Nope, same behavior as before. The plug doesn't feel warm and there's no discoloration, it just kicked down to 30A and finished there. I can deal with it until I swap out the breaker for a 60A or get the car checked out. Still don't have the plate so Tesla won't put it on my account.

    My RWD was the first and only Tesla I've ever driven, and frankly it's all I need. I grew up driving '60s and '70s RWD V-8s so the handling feels like coming home. A D model would have been overkill, not to mention another $100 per month on the insurance bill.

    Yeah, I know. That's why I'm confused. I don't have driver profiles either (just valet mode), and parking sensor chirp is an option in the MCU even though they're not installed. Guess it's just the quirks of having an older model.

    Best outcome here is Tesla refunds OP's deposit and sells the car at the higher price to another buyer. The backlash on Tesla keeping a good-faith deposit would cost them a lot more. Maybe. Depending on which side of the bed Elon got up this morning.
