It sounds like the older winter tires you got were more sporty - Hakkas tend to be better in snow but less good on pavement. Factory alignments can be off too.

I called the local Tesla dealer - they said you can't buy the car with the acceleration boost from the factory. Because of that it's considered a modification by SCCA rules and would have to be in ASP :(

Yeah I think it's extremely reactionary. The SEB seems to be scared of OTA updates significantly changing performance...and are ignoring that there are nearly 400k of these on the road and that it won b street by .07 seconds.

Odd, I don't see them on the eibach site, but they are showing availability in inventory for the rear bars at least. I heard from Whiteline that they should have rear bars in the next 1-2 months.

They allow for more oil to be in the dampers, which can help prevent or reduce overheating for more spirited usage, more consistent damping on rough roads, and to some extent allow more travel in a smaller space. That said, with KWs rep I expect that they did appropriate testing for their dampers.

I'm working on getting custom pads modeled from either Raybestos or Project Mu so we all can have some more aggressive pad compounds available :).

You're probably right, but it never hurts to ask :). I know at least some people have worn through their stock pads already from trying to race on those.

Its probably just springs and shocks - have you tried calling the parts department at your local tesla dealer? I'd be willing to swap if the logistics would work out.

My biggest tip is walk the course till you can close your eyes and envision driving it. Then drive it :)

Sorry I don't want to shitpost but for the sake of accuracy... I called Tesla and they confirmed they sell the OEM 19s for 320 each. No tpms or tires or center caps

EBC yellowstuff is fine as a compromise pad, but you need to keep a close eye on rapid wear on track. On my Golf R they went from working great at half thickness to rubbing the backing plates in one session. They were okay on the street and back roads though, and dust was bearable.

Don't care about condition of the tires, unless they are on fairly fresh pilot sports or continental ECS. Wheels can have minor curb rash if aero wheels, don't care about covers on those either.

That's the whole idea of good automotive soap. It encapsulates the dirt to avoid or reduce scratches during removal of dirt. If you don't have a hose I'd suggest something like Optimum No Rinse or similar.

So here's the interesting question - which of the 200 tw tires has the lowest rolling resistance? Are there any that won't completely demolish range while still giving enough grip to be locally competitive?
