While I am glad we have Solar and Powerwalls, this is getting ridiculous. We have again lost power as of 0900. 3026 customers are affected in this outage. Restoration projected for 1230. But PG&E just said they are dispatching crews to investigate.

Solar has risen to 4 kW and powerwalls are at 50%, so no issue for us, but what the heck is up with PG&E. Feeling very good about spending the money for solar and powerwalls, but worried about people with medical conditions that do not have solar and batteries.

Lol, another outage along Foothill road. What is going on over there?

Dang. The road is very old, started in stagecoach days, and a lot of the power is above ground and installed decades ago. We used to have very reliable power maybe 5 minutes of outage every few years. Now ...

FWIW, our last power outage was not PG&Es fault. Some guy was yelling at his dog while driving his car, ran off the road and took down a power pole. The pole had power and the cable TV/internet (no fiber here!!!) system lines for about 500 people. A lot of people were more upset about the cable/internet outage because they could not watch TV or browse the web using their backup generators or solar/batteries. Phone based hotspots also did not work very long. I assume because everyone tried to use them at once.
