I got the 7.1 software update installed on my P85. No Spotify here. According to the firmware change log, Spotify is only for AutoPilot vehicles. Really?

Spotify seems to be for Europe vehicles only (not just AP)

I don't think anyone on the west coast has it. Another interesting fact that came out in the 7.1 thread is that NO 90's (P90D or 90D) have got it yet anywhere.

As i have understand it's a chose from Spotify to only let it include Europien, Hongkong and Australia. if it comes to other countries in the future isn't decided yet.

No doubt there's money involved in the decision to not have Spotify in the US. Sure would be a nice upgrade to Slacker though and I'm hoping it comes eventually!

My assumption has been that Tesla's contract with slacker has an exclusivity agreement.

I would be happy if Tesla enabled the Spotify client for NA cars but we had to provide our own account. Tesla doesn't need to pay for it like they do for slacker. Customer choice and all that. I suspect as soon as the contract is up for renewal that we'll get Spotify.

In Europe, we have Spotify but not Summon. We can use Tesla's Spotify account or our own, so I guess that will be the case elsewhere when it's released. I don't know why they couldn't have provided it in the USA for use with one's own account.

I have a 90D and just received notice of the update as I awoke this morning. I'll set it to download and install tonight. Tomorrow should be fun!
