2012 missing Driver Profile?

my buddy just bought a CPO 2012 S85 and tonight we were comparing my 2015 S70 features to his 2012. We both have the tech package but his car does not have the driver profiles at all. He has a Valet profile but that’s the only thing that resembled it. He is also running the most recent software that the SC just upgraded for him a week ago. Could it be that this car was a service demo before it was sold and has had this feature disabled?

Found the answer. 2012 cloth seats did not include heat nor driver profiles. 2013 cloth interior added heat, 12 way adjustments and driver profiles. I assumed the driver profile would have been a tech package item versus a leather seat thing.

And that is why they changed it in 2013. He likely won’t succeed, but maybe he could ask the service center why he doesn’t have driver profiles and they may go above and goodwill the memory module (and firmware flash) on his driver seat. As they say, doesn’t hurt to ask.
