It seems like the anti pinch sensor of my driver’s rear window is not working. The window rolls up too much (motor won’t stop) which is causing the regulator wire to pop out of the gear and then the window falls down from no tension.
I’m able to re-wind up the regulator cable and put everything back together, but I cannot figure out how to ensure this issue doesn’t repeat. Is there a sensor that’s gone bad? Or a wire I’m forgetting to plug back in?
I’ve followed the recalibration steps of lowering and holding for 10-15 seconds. When I roll up the window halfway and put my hand in the way, it will not stop rolling up even when I’m putting quite a bit of down force.
