2016.5 P90D front wheel fitment

What is the width and offset for the new wheels? The front suspension geometry is so tight. There's not much room for any size deviation.
Yeah Jonova, you could have some rubbing on full turns with 265/30/22.

I have stock 21" turbines, 245/35/21. I believe the rim width is 8.5", maybe 9". And at full turn I can barely get my finger between the tire and the well cover.
I've been wanting to change size when I replace them probably in the spring with 255/35/21, and even those could rub. 265/30 would be even wider, not sure what the ratio difference would be on the wall height, 255/35 to 265/30. Probably negligible.

I was wanting to go to 255/40, but that may be too tall. Can't really find 245/40 in a brand I like.

I had 22s on my S before I went back to 21s. 245/30/22 in the front, 285/25/22 in the back.

265 won't fit in the front of a 1st Gen S. You'll rub like mad. Depending on your offset you may be able to squeeze in 255 with a little rubbing, but 245 is pretty much the max width up front without rubbing.

Have you messed around with ratios as well?
For example, will 245/45/21's rub in the front? They aren't wider, but taller.

It almost certainly will. 245/45 is almost 2 inches more in diameter than 245/35. I don't think I have an inch of clearance each side of the firewall as it is with 245/35. Plus, that is getting into SUV tire size range....would look a little silly on the S with 21s

WillTheyFit.com only shows the diameter difference at ~1 inch (24.5mm). But yeah, probably still some rub.
That wouldn't change to look much, IMO. Certainly not SUV-like.
I don't mind the added bit of ride height. I like a full wheel well. And the little extra side wall makes a difference in avoiding bent rims from pot holes, and maybe a tad bit of added ride comfort for the 21's.

I have the stock 19" rims as well, for winter.
I guess ideally, I could get some 20 x 9 Arachnid replicas and put 255/45/20 on them to Goldilocks this b!tch.

1" is not a diameter difference measurement. It's the increase in the height of the sidewall. Going from the floor to the top of the wheel well, you encounter that sidewall twice. hence, 1+1. 2 Inches overall change to diameter.
