2018 Model S: charger/adapter

Hi everyone!

I have a question and I hope it isn’t as silly as I think.

I have a 2018 Model S and I’d like to use the 220V outlet in my garage. The plug doesn’t fit the outlet and I’m getting conflicting solutions.

What do I need to charge the S without having a wall charger installed?

Here are pics of the charger and outlet. Thank you in advance :)

The adapter you have on the first picture is a NEMA 14-50, and your outlet is a NEMA 10-30.

Considering you have a 2018 Model S, and that we can see a small portion of the cable in your first photo, you have a Gen2 Mobile Connector.
So the only thing you need is to purchase a NEMA 10-30 adapter for your Mobile Connector from the online Tesla Shop.
Just select "10-30" from the drop down menu.

Thank you so much!! I tried doing research on my own and I was getting confused. My coworker told me I needed to change my outlet to a 50 amp. Thank you again and gave yourself a wonderful week!
