2021 model y; 12v Power source for rear view mirror camera

Hello, I installed a rear view mirror camera in my model Y that has 2 cameras, one for the front and another for the back. The unit came with a power tap that connects to the 12v cigarette plug in the center console. The problem is that the power to the mirror stays on after exiting and locking the car. Does anyone know where I can access 12v to power the mirror only when the car is on?

I have the same question. I'm guessing you have the WOLFBOX G840S 12" 4K Mirror Dash Cam Backup Camera? I just ordered one and hadn't even thought of this.

How did you power the rear view camera?

Get a 60 sec relay to connect from cig 12v to your thing. Turns off power after 60 secs of no motion.

Wow, perfect solution, thanks! I can't seem to find one online which is Tesla compatible though. Might you know of such a beast? I'm not eager to break out my old Radio Shack electronics kit to try to make one!
