255/40 on 19x9.5 +35

Model 3 perf 235/35/r20 OE

ordered 19x9.5 +35 wheels not knowing ahead what tire size would work. Looks like 265/35 will work perfectly but I don’t need tires that wide TBH.

Has anyone run 255/40 on 9.5 before? Pictures? Or even 245/40…

My trip setup is the Tesla Gemini wheel which is 19x9.5 +45, I run 20mm F and 25mm R spacers.

The tire is the 255/35R19 Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 Plus, the look is about as stretched as I can stand but that is a personal preference thing.
Due note the section width varies per tire brand so YMMV.

265/35 is the perfect fitment for a 9.5" rim.
The 245/40 has some stretch and regardless of the tire, it leaves the rim exposed to being damaged.

appreciate the pictures! do you have any that shows the tire agains the rims? Just want to see how much of the rim is exposed.

I might go with 255/40 as I blown a few tires with the OEM tires due to potholes.

I haven't scratch my wheels for over 4 years so not too worry about curb rashes.
