4 channel 256GB dashcam w/park record, cellular cloud upload & internal battery

Anyone done this setup?
Do you think it’s overkill?
What other cams have 256GB card compatibility, can do cloud upload & parking record in addition to the Blackvue DR900S?

Yes ...I have 2ch Bvue 900 64gb ...freedompop cell ..hardwire ..and I find that more than good enough

Same setup here as @P85_DA with 128GB Samsung endurance card. For cell service I use a $45 freedompop sim that’s good for a year with 1GB/mo LTE data. More than enough because if you want blackvue you can only add one set of cameras (1-ch or 2-ch) to cloud account for free. The next level is $20/mo if you need more than one set and to me that’s way too much. So for my model 3 I just set up a different account since the car doesn’t get used much.

I definitely want 4 channel, with the cameras mounted on both rear side windows.

BTW, does running the cables at any point occupy the same space as the curtain airbags?
If so, I’ll need to disconnect the 12v battery while installing

Yes but you can only log onto one account from the app, meaning you will only get push notifications from one of the sets. Unless of course you carry two phones all the time.

That’s fine.
The main reason for the cloud based cams, is if someone breaks into the car & steals the units to ‘eliminate’ evidence.
Anything else is a bonus
