Some here may know that Elon Musk plans to move most of the superchargers off-grid and powering them with solar and batteries (Tesla plans to disconnect ‘almost all’ Superchargers from the grid and go solar+battery, says Elon Musk).
But some may not know that at least one of the superchargers in Utah is already at least partially solar powered, namely the one west of SLC just off of I-80 in Lakepoint.
Have a look at the building (a Comfort Inn hotel) next to the superchargers and note all the solar panels on the roof. I checked and found the power from those goes to the superchargers with any power not being used for those going to the hotel. No batteries that I could find (yet) but a nice step in the right direction.
