A way to get an update faster?

Here in PA we got struck hard with Ida. Lots of mud and debris everywhere.

I had to drive and my car got as messy as it’s ever been on the outside.

I sent Tesla a Service Request to push a newer update on my car, I claimed I would like to take advantage of the Car Wash Mode to get my undercarriage cleaned. This was yesterday at around 8PM if my memory doesn’t fail me.

Woke up to my 3AM bathroom break and saw the Update Available notification!

I’ll leave the judgement whether it worked or was a coincidence to you.

Not sure if it was a coincidence but my first SW upgrade came the night after I had a service centre visit during the day.

I had that as well and I think it's by design. Your car will automatically log onto Tesla's Wifi network when you're at a Service Center and download new firmware when available.

That used to work several years ago but I don't think that trick still works.

Tried that last year for one of the updates and it didn't work.
