I read a number of threads discussing the painfully long wait to have Powerwalls installed for your home.
I thought I'd share my timeline because the install was just recently completed.
I had four (4) Powerwalls installed.
Prior to initiating the powerwall adventure I already had a 13.8 kW PV system in place and a backup generator.
I used a solar company who carries powerwalls in stock and services Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana
Timeline:
07/17/19 - Initial phone contact w/sales
07/12/19 - Initial "dirty" quotes for a 2, 3, and 4 powerwall install
07/17/19 - Conference call with techs and installers for Q & A
07/26/19 - First real proposal
07/30/19 - Second proposal w/ amendments
08/13/19 - Sales Contract
08/14/19 - Signed contract and down payment made
08/25/19 - Final pre-install site visit
09/23/19 - Installation begins
09/25/19 - Installation complete
10/01/19 - County Inspection
Two and a half months cradle to grave.
It would have been quicker but I asked hundreds of questions

That means the entire process has improved. My timeline (as a early adopter back in 2016) is here: Crazy Long!

Powerwall 2 "waiting list"

Thanks for the link - much appreciated. Your timeline sounds more typical of the stories I've heard in a Northern CA. I'm hoping if I start the process now, we will have the powerwalls installed before the summer heat of 2020. Am I dreaming ?

do you mind me asking which company you used? I am in Indiana and getting impatient with Tesla

We are in the process of installing 15.4 KW of solar panels and 4 PowerWalls.

Contract signed on October 10.

Installation started on November 25 and would have completed on November 27 or 28 except for some rain losing us a day and the Thanksgiving weekend.

About 6 weeks from contract signing to installation - which could have been a week shorter, except the installation crew was delayed (weather?) in completing the previous job).
