I don't think rivet nuts would work in this situation. The holes that need threads are deep holes. They make threaded bungs that go in like a pop rivet, no welding required.

Do 20's instead of 21. Otherwise it's pretty close to performance minus the suspension and brakes. You can also get the brake calipers painted red or add caliper covers too.I'd order a 7 seater, add Acceleration Boost and some 21 wheels. Pretty close to a performance w/ seating for 7.
Rivet nuts go in from one side, no need to worry about the other side unless it is not deep enough.I don't think rivet nuts would work in this situation. The holes that need threads are deep holes. View attachment 799935
Do you have the third row seats? Do they line up with that hole?View attachment 800283
I wish a rivet nut would work but the hole is solid. Hole is 18mm.
I haven’t acquired any parts yet. Pretty hard to find.Do you have the third row seats? Do they line up with that hole?
Why, it’s all that needed to be said. You’d have to pretty much gut the interior and install 2nd row, third row, and side panels salvaged from a factory built third row MY. You’re not gonna find those parts on the secondary market, tesla isn’t gonna sell em to you, and there’s not third party supplier; so, a simple no is sufficient.Just NO with no explanation is horrid.
Well it only takes one wrecked 7 seater and you can have all you need there, and by the way the rear side panels are not needed, they are different but its just the arm rest and fabric you could def ride back there with the plastic sides. Why, it’s all that needed to be said. Let me know if you are somehow succesfull at doing this, im def interested.I haven’t acquired any parts yet. Pretty hard to find.
It should be the same cast. Not sure if I even have a 7seater vin, Tesla would sell the seats. The other parts are not restricted.
Will do!Let me know if you are somehow succesfull at doing this, im def interested.
Oh is that all? How many MY third row vehicles have even been delivered?Well it only takes one wrecked 7 seater and you can have all you need there, and by the way the rear side panels are not needed, they are different but its just the arm rest and fabric you could def ride back there with the plastic sides.
Yes, the sold the MYP and bought a MYLR and added the performance boost software upgrade.Did anyone figure this out on a Y Performance?
