Aftermarket Rear Diffuser's Thread (Vorsteiner look alike)

I had recently bought a carbon fiber diffuser (vorsteiner look alike) that's real carbon fiber and having gap issues near the top middle portion of the car.

I cleaned the area with rubbing alcohol, used adhesive promoter and installed it by using 3m Scotch Mount Extreme Double Sided Mounting Tape (30lb). Finished it off by installing about 6 self tapping screws on the bottom. For some reason the tape doesn't seem to be sticking on the middle and far right top part of the diffuser. I'm considering getting some clear silicone adhesive along the edge of the diffuser where it's struggling to stick. I really don't want to screw into the paint part of my bumper in order for it to hold on. Anyone else experience this problem and have any advice?
