aftermarket seat install (recaro/sparco)

Hi There,

Just wondering if anyone has managed to install a Recaro or Sparco (adjustable) seat in a M3P? I find the stock seats lack support.

I know Unplugged Performance sells brackets/Sparco QRT kit but I'm looking more at an adjustable 2 piece seat like a Sparco SPX
or Recaro Sportster.

If anyone has done the conversion chime in if you can.

Hey Steve give Sparco a call in Irvine. I was there yesterday and Brandon say they make fixed and sliding bases for the Model 3. I didn’t ask about adjustable seats but man the QRT-Performance is nice.

I’d love to get some Recaros or a Sparco seat that can still act like OEM with the powered reclining and heated feature.

I was working with UPP on combining a Sparco SPX with their seat emulator but haven't spoken with them yet since June. They were going to buy a seat
and test fit. I'll follow up with them to see how far they got with the install.

The OEM seats have some pressure points that becomes uncomfortable over time. I guess after 11 years of commuting in Recaros, I’ve grown accustomed to this type of seating.

Resurrecting this thread. UPP has the option to offer the Sparco SPX with their seat harness emulator.

Ask if it doesn't require plugging stock seat electronics during updates. Other than that it should work. In EU they just reuse stock electronics.
