Air Bag covers dangerous?

I was browsing steering wheels and some stores had options for air bag covers.

My first thoughts were that would be bad if they interfered with the operation of the airbag.

When trying to research, I didn't find much BUT noticed that both Amazon and AliExpress (sp?) searches got no hits which at least hinted that their corporate lawyers might not want anything to do with.

Yep, that's pretty much a given. So is the factory part over the bag. So, it comes down to an aftermarket cover has been tested and govt or manufacturer certified.

It sounds like the sort of thing that govt might have standards or laws for. But nothing pops up at least with my search terms.
