All weather mats…. Tis the season (POLL)

Hey guys ,

OEM Tesla all weather mats (apparently also made by weathertech) unconfirmed

VS

3D maxspider/other third party

I ask because everyone raves about the 3D but I’ve always kinda been a “get what the manufacturer” designed for the car. Are the OEM ones that bad ? They are $225…

How did they work out? :)
I like them. For the driver and passenger, the fit on the sides and under the seat are great. I wish the front part extending up into the footwell went a little higher - there is still some exposed carpet but ultimately I still think it’s fine. I can get a picture later today to show you. I haven’t placed the second row mat yet because I had it out in the sun today to get it to flatten out from the fold from shipping. Will try later today. Just got home from the hospital so I need to sleep a bit and will work on this later, thank you.

I run the ones sold by Abstract Ocean (and probably tons of other white label companies out there) which are basically the 3D Max without logos. They are fantastic, but when winter comes around I break out the Tesla rubber floor mats. The textured mats are fantastic and look very premium, and they do clean up well, but they do require a bit more dry time out in the sun after pressure washing them down, which sometimes doesn't exist for days on end when it's raining heavily. The rubber floor mats just needs a quick degreaser spray and a blast with a hose, and a quick wipe down (since there is no texture, no place for water to get trapped) and they are clean as new.

They also have a great lip design to keep water or mud from spilling out from under them.

So in summary, I rotate between the two depending on the season. Don't bother with the textile Tesla mats, they suck.

For what it's worth, the no brand AO mats actually fit my car better than the 3dMax ones did.

Awesome! Thanks for the honest feedback. Hopefully the rear mats fit well too! It’s promising that the mats fit your 2023 model y!

Here’s the pics from my 2023 MYLR, PA026*** (Austin).

I would like to see these go higher up into the front footwells, and I need a solution for the center console carpeted sides, but overall seems like a snug accurate fit.

Waiting still on the last three pieces to arrive this week: cargo, Frunk, sub trunk.

Thank you for confirming the fitment for 2023 Model Y! Thank you as well for the feedback. I believe you are referring to the dead pedal on the driver side, correct? Usually we recommend to remove any of the OEM carpets, however, if you are just speaking, generally, that is something we could consider for future updates. We are very happy that they’re seem to be no issues with the 2023 model!

One thing to consider on some of these mats (if its important to you) is whether they work with underseat drawers.
My Tuxmat front maps did not and I had to do a little surgery.
We will be releasing storage bin/container for under the seats that are specifically compatible with LDCRS Mats! On the topic of that:

Are there any 2023 Model Y owners who want a complimentary LDCRS Tesla model y under seat storage bin in exchange for helping us confirm fitment on the 2023 Model Y with pictures/video?

You’re welcome. Nice mats, I like the way they fit. First and second row textile mats are removed and these grip well on the base carpet.

I’ll confirm the other three pieces when I get them. Also I’ll be watching for the underseat bins when they’re ready to order.

Thanks!

I recently got the LDCRS mats as well, and was really surprised by how well they fit my wife's Austin-made 2023 Tesla Model Y LR. In fact, they fit so snugly that I was really worried that they wouldn't fit at all. I might need to adjust the driver's side foot panel area little bit more, but they're really perfect. In my '21 M3P, I have the Tesla all-weather mats. Yesterday, while we were on the road in her Y, my wife noted that she thinks the LCDRS ones are better than the Tesla mats in my car. I dont think she normally notices things like that, so for her to comment on how nice they are means she must really not be impressed by the ones in my M3P. 😂 😭

Gonna have to pick up the other mats now.

This is very reassuring! Thank you helping us and the community to ensure the fit on the new 2023 Model Y!
For those looking to buy the mats, we should be back in stock in the coming week with a “Black Friday” discount at that time for not being available on actual Black Friday.

Just received the remaining three pieces, cargo, frunk, sub trunk. All six pieces in total fit my 2023 MYLR like a glove. Great mats! Thanks ldcrs.

Yes, I need to clean a few places 😂
