am iheart radio

In order to access am radio on my model 3, i downloaded the "iheartradio" app on my iphone. The app works as long as I am not inside the car. If the radio is playing on the app while I am not in the car, as soon as I enter inside the car the radio shuts off, even before I start driving, and I cannot receive the iheart stations. I made sure that the iphone knew that I was not driving but nothing happened.
I even tried the app "radio.com" and I had the same result.
What is going on ? Why can I not hear the radio apps inside the model 3?

I use both of those apps for AM radio daily with no problem. I assume the phone is paired to your vehicle and that you are selecting the phone icon on the Music options screen in the car?
