Any after market companies doing a heated steering wheel for the model 3?

As per the title. Can’t believe it’s not an option on a 60,000 dollar car.

Would’ve been good to have but in my opinion heated steering wheels are overrated. Heated seats are perfect. I had the heated steering wheel and seats in my Leaf and I only ever used the heated seats. To each his own I guess.

We use preheat from the app all the time on our Leaf. In the 5 to 10 minutes of preheat the car is warm but the steering wheel is never warm if we forget to turn it on. So no, ore warming in lieu of a heated steering wheel is not a substitute.

It’s not a deal breaker for us in itself but we would consider doing an aftermarket....if there was one.

The big no starter for us is the lack of Chademo. I doubt it’s an issue for most but in our province a Tesla has pretty limited use without Chademo, or at least in the parts of the province we travel. Like I said, probably not an issue for most. Hoping they sort this out though.

Because using the heated seats is more efficient than heating the entire cabin. If you rely more on the heated seats than the main cabin heater you’ll have less range loss.

I'm used to having a heated Steering Wheel in my prior car and was a little concerned about it's absence.

After 4 months of winter I don't miss it a bit. With the "instant" heat (preheat or not), my hands/wheel is just never that cold.
Also the material they wrap the steering wheel is pretty amazing stuff.

I hardly turn on the seats either compared to older cars.

I guess my hands don’t get that cold. I find preheating from the app gets the steering wheel plenty warm enough for me. Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t mind having the option, but I don’t necessarily miss it.

A heated steering wheel should come with all premium interiors.
The competition all have them at that price.
Not everyone lives in warmer climates.
