App not connecting to my car

Have an S plaid. Never had this issue before. Tesla app just keeps doing the rotating timing out thing, hasn’t show me my miles for like 15 days. When I go near the car though, I can unlock the door. Super weird. Any ideas? Thx!

Try restarting your phone and if that doesn't work, signing out of your account on the Tesla app and then signing back in.

I am on a fringe area, even though both ATT (Tesla) and Verizon(my phone) say I should have no signal issues. I notice my WiFi (Cell over WiFI) phone will not connect to the car until the car can connect to ATT, even though the car is also connected to my WiFi. I think it requires the ATT connection to be good enough to maintain Tesla secure connections. When I leave my home, the car takes several miles until it can connect, and when at home it sometimes loses connection. When you are near the car, bluetooth may enable you to unlock the car.

Signing out of the app didn’t work. Actually had to go inside my car and reboot the car and it finally connected. Weird.
