Arachnid TPMS help

This site may earn commission on affiliate links.
Hello all you amazing people on this site!

So I have a Model S build date 09/2020. I recently purchased a set of arachnid wheels with tires from a member. They are new…but I assume older. The date on tires are 3317.

I have reset the wheel size in my car, and reset the TPMS sensors in the car as well. But I am still not getting pressure readings.
I am not getting any notifications or errors…just not getting any psi readings.
Is there anything I am missing on setting these up?

I have read other posts about sensors…but it’s all pretty confusing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi @StraightOreo ,

You are on the right track...
There are at least 2 different types of TPMS for Model S and Model X.

The earlier type were phased out in late 2014 to mid 2015 and are Baolong.

The newest and current brand type are Continental...

What some members have run into is the Award tires are set up for the person who won them.
They might have the older type in an older car at the time the award was earned.
These will not work in the newer cars - The sensors must be changed out for the Continental type sensors...

Good luck,

Shawn
