Are the current (aug 2019) red paints the same for the S and 3?

Easy one. Is “multi coat red” the exact same paint for the current Model S and Model 3?

Seems likely the answer is yes but might as well ask...

Not a big fan of the red. Looks the same on both cars and that's why we didn't pick it for either.

I hope Tesla changes it up a bit.. it's kinda of a dead red as it is.

Mazda has an excellent red.

I'm almost certain that they're the same, but if you have access to both cars, you can confirm easily.

Look at the VIN label; it's visible on the door jamb when the driver's door is open. Look for the "PNT:" listing in the bottom left corner of the label. The four digit paint codes on both cars will match if they're the same.
