Auto dip versus powder coat versus vinyl wrap

For the 19inch wheels, what do you guys recommend? There is such a large price difference between the three. I’m leaning toward plastidip although my preference is powder coat. What do you guys think?

Powder coat is much much more durable and has a very consistent finish. An excellent DIY finish is to use Duracoat spray. It is used mostly for guns and is available In many colors of gray and black. This could be sprayed without removing the tires and is a very durable great looking finish. I used it on several AR-15.

Plastidip will eventually look worn out at some point.

I'm going to use plastidip first to see if I like the color. If I do, then I will have them powder coated.

Yes, you just need to strip it off, which isn’t hard.

i've never seen a vinyl wrap for a wheel. i can't imagine the durability being that great.

I saw a YouTube video of the face of a wheel being vinyl wrapped, but not the whole wheel, just the spokes....
