Tesla is only one of two brands that doesn't offer Automatic Crash Notification. Come on TESLA, get on-board with your "safety-minded" principles and make it standard, at no-cost. Isn't all the technology already there?

Fiat and Tesla both offer automatic crash notification in other countries, as is required by regulation. But they don’t offer automatic crash notification in the U.S.

You want a notification that you just crashed? The system not only notifies them but also collects video evidence, not sure you could ask for more.
If you or anyone else is not able to call for any number of reasons - why not have the car call? IF you read the article, this lady crashed of the road and down a hill and sat there for 8 days unable to call or move.
Why not have the car call?
