Now that you can select a speed up to 5mph (10 kph - heh - we Canadians can speed more) above the speed limit, Autosteer on city streets is finally quite usable, but when traffic slows to a crawl, it leaves too much of a gap to the car ahead of you to be really comfortable, especially near intersections (as in I am just at the edge of being past the intersection). Yes, I can force the car closer, but this disengages Autosteer, when there is no real safety concern (the cars are stopped, or going quite slowly). It would be great if the 'follow distance' was able to be shortened under 5mph (10 kph) or so.
Does anyone have the sense that this will be forthcoming in a software update? Or is the mantra of "better safe than sorry" for all things FSD mean that it is just something to get used to?
