Bay Area Cost of Wall Charger Installation

I paid $ 1590 ( in 2018) in San Jose , including a permit and inspection. ~40 ft of 50 Amp wiring plus a new circuit from the PG&E panel. Inspection is recommended in case of any problem such as fire etc to avoid and liability

Anything above $500 I’d install it myself.

It must be pointed out that there are many "bay areas" in this country so one should specify where they are interested in.

I just got mine installed and watched and recorded the majority of it for a video eventually. It's not that hard if the panel is directly behind where you want the tesla charger to go.
Like really easy. Easy as getting one of those grills that drill through metal and drilling through your garage through your subpanel. Then, get the 6 gauge wires run it through, attach to tesla charger, attach to 60amp fuse at breaker, plug it all in, and you're done. haha

As long as the individual understands basic electric theory and understands how to test for voltage differential to make sure the circuit’s aren’t hot.

I opted to not use her. I did some google snooping and apparently she has a history of providing lowball quotes and doing shoddy work. I ended up using a coworker referral and paid $1300 to have a WC installed + 50 ft of conduit laid.

Where is your electrical panel? Is it nearby?
I paid $800 in San Francisco. But my panel is next to my wall charger.

Do you mind sharing the contact info for your vendor? I am shopping around in SF and the lowest I've found is $2600.
