I have a set of 20x9.5 ET35 wheels already installed (fronts are ET35, rears are a little lower), and another set on order. I am running MPP rotors, so the offset is consistent with non-P gray rotors. The 255/35/20’s I have on my current set have just a *slight* bit of stretch and I’d like a more square sidewall without giving up too much ride quality if possible. I have coilovers, sways, and rear camber arms installed already and I‘ll have more adjustable suspension parts soon, so I have the ability to have it adjusted/aligned as necessary.
My thoughts:
265/30/20 is a fair amount shorter, so the ride will suffer, as will ground clearance, especially after more lowering to get rid of the additional fender gap.
265/35/20 is 27.3” tall, might have issues clearing the knuckle and with traction control.
275/30/20 is still shorter than 255/35, but not by much. Non-T0 PS4S have 9.8” tread width, I don’t think they will rub inside at ET35.
I’m not buying even more wheels, so “switch to 18’s/19‘s” is not an option for me here. Should I stick to 255/35/20? The stretch I’ve got isn’t hideous (255 and 265 are “optimal“ sizes for 9.5“ rims), but looks a little more “stanced” than I like from certain angles.
