Black Model 3 Paint Blend

My Black Model 3 was hit at the tire shop in the parking lot. Discount Tire insurance is paying for the damage repair. The front driver's door can be fixed, but the rear driver's side door must be replaced and repainted.

I have quotes from two Tesla Certified repair shops in the area, both reputable. One shop says they need to repaint the rear quarter panel, to blend the paint with the new door repaint. The other shop says since it a straight black no metallic paint, blending is not necessary. Even though I am not paying for the repair, I would rather not have the car taken apart further for the blending paint unless it is really necessary.

Anyone had a similar experience with paint blend on a Black Model 3?

Seems common the concerns about paint and clear coat matching but given the door is an entirely separate piece there is no blending concern if they get a decent paint match to start with; caveat I am not a professional auto painter
