Black screen new Model 3 2021 model

S3 owner less than 2 weeks. Driving expressway, speedometer stuck @ 21, turn signals failed and suddenly screen went completely black. Updated software, made appt (nearest appt over 2 weeks away - thanks Tesla, way to service a brand new vehicle). Any suggestions for a fix?

This is usually a software issue related to a recent release and is resolved when the next update comes out. A soft reboot usually resolves (You can do a soft reboot while driving).
  1. Press and hold both scroll wheels at the same time.
  2. Wait for the screen to turn off before you release.
  3. The screen will refresh itself after a short period of time (usually somewhere between 10 seconds to a minute)

Unless it happens more, I wouldn't worry about it. Tesla is still like early Microsoft with Windows and updates that cause issues. The car will continue to function without any or incorrect displays, including turn signals. The dealer will not be able to fix this, as it is likely software issues. You will learn with Tesla that this stuff is normal with almost all the car being under software control. Glitches happen. By the way, this is the Model S forum. You may want to post future issues on the Model 3 forum.
