Hi all, I am hoping to collect some data on what month and year your vehicle was manufactured for those having the BMS_U029/BMS_U018 issues. If you have had this BMS error and battery failure, I ask kindly of you to provide us with some of this data please. Thank you.

Locate the MFD (Manufactured) By label to the right of your driver door step sill.

No dog in this fight, but I’d think date of battery manufacture is much more important from a statistical perspective than date of vehicle manufacture. Many early Model S had their batteries replaced years ago, sometimes multiple times…

I agree, I am not sure how to get that info, short of asking for battery serial numbers. Also from my understanding the battery serial numbers only show the year not the month or quarter. But I could be wrong.

You already know 14 is the year. L means it was built in December.

Thanks for letting me know. So what are the remaining codes. I had no idea of L = December. Anymore info you have would be great. Then maybe worth it to modify this poll.
