I did one side at a time.Very nice!
Did you put the car up on 4 jsckstands? And if you did, how??
Want to paint mine too this summer!
I used SafeJack jack stands and G2paintI did one side at a time.
I got those from SnapDecal.comWhat about those stickers?
Thanks. Yes, time will tell, howey, with the regenerative braking, the calipers are rarely used.curious how well the paint will hold up. Brake calipers can get pretty hot. Unless its high heat paint I’d be concerned it would change color (brown) or begin to peel or flake off. Nice DIY job though.
I did. I applied the paint with a brush. Did at least two coats, three in some areas.Did you paint the calipers while on the vehicle? Paint looks very smooth and well applied.
FWIW I've used the g2 kit on cars in the past where the brakes got much hotter than these do and were subjected to winter weather (salt) and they held up great. That two-part epoxy is very strong, provided the surface prep is decent.curious how well the paint will hold up. Brake calipers can get pretty hot. 100% agree. Had G2 on a Mustang I owned for 10 years, never faded, chipped or cracked. Note: Ask tire shops to be careful when removing/installing wheels.FWIW I've used the g2 kit on cars in the past where the brakes got much hotter than these do and were subjected to winter weather (salt) and they held up great. A healthy dousing of brake cleaner is all that should be needed. Pretty sure there's no going back (epoxy is hard to remove). It can be touched up later, if needed though. What kind of surface prep are you guys recommending? Also how easy is this to remove if you decide to go back to factory setup?
I cleaned it with brake cleaner. It came with the kit. Super easy. Probably not easy to remove. Maybe a chemical removerWhat kind of surface prep are you guys recommending? Also how easy is this to remove if you decide to go back to factory setup?

G2 paint is great. Put it on my moms LS430 and it lasted easily 5+ years and looked perfect when we sold itcurious how well the paint will hold up. Brake calipers can get pretty hot.
