Tesla has shown they care very little about cars after 8 years. So you really should be at least considering $10k for salvage and look at your monthly cost down to month 96. So if we pick mid 2016 car, it has 37 months left. 52-10/37 = $1130 per month.
And you NEED to supercharge because of commute? Ouch.
