Buying from 3rd party or private party

In the past I bought two used MS directly from Tesla and never had a single issue, car came with free charging and everything they were suppose to come from the factory.
But how about buying from private party or third party dealers? I keep reading that Tesla might limit options, deactivate some features that previous owner purchased originally etc... is it still worth buying used Tesla from a third party?

If the car was processed through Tesla (as in trade-in sold to auction lot and bought by used car dealer), FSD will probably be removed as well as Unlimiting charging. If it stayed away from Tesla, things should be okay.

How would you know if the unlimited charging feature was still available on the vehicle? Thanks.

Actually, as of the time of this post, a private party purchase is your best bet for retaining FUSC and free premium data for life. Since Tesla is about as consistent as the weather in Colorado though just wait a few days and who knows... that could completely change.

Non-Tesla dealer registration voids the option to extend warranty.

That's really great to know about the warranty. I'm still looking. Could I still get an extended warranty from Tesla for a 2014-2016 Model S?
