Cabin fan noise

The climate control fan in my 2021 MY is annoyingly loud above a setting of about 6. Is this normal, or is it something I should have them look at?

The fan can be noisy at the higher speeds. Have you tried setting the climate control to Auto?

I'm in Texas, so on Auto it pretty much runs at 10 all the time :/ At 10 it's too loud to even hear the radio (set to a comfortable volume) so I generally bump it down to 7 or 8, but even there the fan is pretty loud.

Have you thought about installing a sunshade for the glass roof and also for the rear hatch glass?

Yeah, I will probably get the windshield, roof, and rear glass all tinted. Was waiting to see how bad it was in the summer, but it's "only" gotten to the 90's now and it's pretty clear it's going to need it.

Tint is one possibility. I was referring to the sunshade from Tesmanian or similar (Amazon): Tesla Model Y Glass Roof Sunshade - Version 2

Also, Tesla sells a sunshade for the rear lift gate window: Model Y Rear Liftgate Sunshade

91f here today, AC on Auto, 70f, fan barely audible.

I'd say the OP has an issue with the HVAC.

Have any of your Model Y windows been tinted beyond the factory tint?

Yes, tinted the fronts, don't remember, whatever is street legal...35%? Matches the factory tint of the rears.
