Road noise on my 2022 Tesla S LR seems louder than my previous 2018 S P100D, especially on rough road surfaces. Tires on 2018 were Michelin Pilot Sport 3, and the tires on my new 2022 LR are Pirelli P Zero. Both had Tesla OEM tires with noise reduction technology.

What tire pressure (and size) are you running? I have found that the recommended 40 psi on my 21" wheels creates too much road noise. I have been running about 38 psi and it is much better. It took some experimenting but I found the perfect tire pressure for me. My digital gauge displays pressure in 0.1 psi increments which is very helpful.

A couple other things, my TMPS reports the tire pressure 2 pounds lower than actual. If my TMPS says 40 psi then it is actually 42 psi. I run 38 psi actual pressure.

Another problem was the local service center airing up my tires top 45 psi which created a ton of road noise. Possibly yours is just too high.

Try turning off Active Road Noise Reduction, too. It’s baloney, and often introduces more noise than it’s meant to be “reducing.”

Turn that crap OFF ASAP! I did and it made a huge difference.
