Does anyone know the answer to this? I think I remember reading that someone in New Hampshire or Maine was able too pick their model 3 up at a NY state Tesla location, drive the car back to their home state and pay the sales tax themselves.
VT will let me pay sales tax out of state for the car and not charge again during registration at a VT DMV(with proof that I paid in the other state). That is assuming that I atleast paid the minimum of 6%.
I’m trying to avoid home delivery and possibly move things along a little faster.
