Is there a different or specific coating needed on gloss / matte carbon fiber? I have an diffuser I wanna protect but don’t want to eff up the finish and no I don’t want to PPF it. Has anyone DIY coated their pieces?

I don't have any carbon fiber, but if I did I might use this carbon fiber-specific glaze/polishfrom Dr. Beasley's to remove any minor scratches, blemishes, or oxidation:

Carbon Fiber Polish

then you can use a regular ceramic coating to protect the carbon fiber such as:

Ceramic Car Coating Kit

I am not aware of a ceramic coating that is specifically for carbon fiber. As long as your carbon fiber came with clear coat applied by the manufacturer, then you can use a regular ceramic coating.
