Carrying bikes covering license plate and tail light

Hi,

Folks, those carry bikes, what's your solution for license plate and taillights covered? If possible, add-on solution (quickly remove if not used) is the best as I have a very light weight bike rack I wouldn't like to change.
I've been scanning few threads but couldn't figure out the full solution yet.

Thanks much,

I haven't been stopped either but wanted to be as much compliant as possible. Also, recently we're crossing borders quite a bit. Camera at custom border can't read the license and it causes delays. Looking for a simple solution if any since I put on and take off bike rack quite often. Thanks

Hi @ThisIsMask ,

Use your favorite search engine to find "Dzus fasteners."
They are aircraft and motorcycle suppliers...
They have some 1/4 turn screw fasteners made for fast action.

When you figure out what size you need and put the nut component
on your bike rack and the car - You should be able to move the plate
from the bike rack to the car in less than a minute...

Amazon carries these fasteners...

Good luck,

Shawn

This one is interesting. That would be my next step to check. Now, I got this license plate mount with light

It has 2 wires to the light but I couldn't find any instructions how I could connect this to the 7-pin outlet near the tow hitch. I know I should get some adapter but I'm not sure what. Any suggestions? Thanks
