Cars on adjacent lanes don’t show up on display

I just got my MY yesterday and I noticed that the cars in my adjacent lanes show up on the display. On multi lane road, it shows my lane and other lanes next to mine but they are empty. I have seen in other peopl’s teslas that the animation continuously shows all nearby cars. What am I missing? I have regular autopilot and no FSD. Thanks for any insight.

First, how many miles have you driven it so far? There is some initial calibration and self-training for the first 50 miles or so.

Second, do you have "Controls > Autopilot > Full Self-Driving Visualization Preview" turned on? I'm not sure what you will see if this is off.

Thanks @CaseyL. I‘ e driven 41 miles so far. So that’s probably it. I have FSD preview on.
