Changing to an inventory car

After having a nightmare with the car we’ve ordered, we are looking in to grabbing an inventory car that pops up, preferably a red/white performance with AP. The question is, if this car pops up in the evening and we can’t get through to Tesla, is it possible to just pay the deposit again to secure it, and then get it moved over to the current right now we have and keep the OLEV grant? Thanks.

I reckon you won't get the grant as the newer car is 'technically' after the deadline.

The £100 should def secure the new car, and you'd hope that Tesla would then move the payment from your first car to the 2nd.

I believe they need to provide the VIN number on the application form.

We mentioned moving to inventory earlier and asked about OLEV and he said not to worry about it as it is attached to the buyers name not car. Just wondering how it would work if we paid a deposit to secure it.

I’m sure there was a Red/White Performance in there today. A long with a LR in Red with Black...gone now though I’m afraid.

I saw it earlier on but it’s gone now unfortunately. Was still waiting for the verdict on the current one on order!

We’ll see! Not getting my hopes up on anything until we’ve found one, arranged it and it’s sat on the drive.

I don't think it works like that as the grant application is done when they have full documentation, which is before VIN is assigned, and they may well substitute the VIN very late in the delivery process (e.g. car gets bent getting it off the transporter)
